At exactly 2:30 pm this past Sunday, we found ourselves huddled behind our laptop screens, unusually eager. Michael Rider’s long-awaited debut as Celine’s new creative director was about to begin with the unveiling of the Spring 2026 collection. We don’t usually drop everything for a livestream, but this one felt different. Held at the brand’s headquarters on 16 Rue Vivienne in rainy Paris, the show marked the first time since 2018 that we’ve felt a real flicker of excitement about Celine’s future.

Not just because of fashion, but because this house meant something personal to us in the Phoebe Philo years. For Lara, it was the first label that truly moved her at the start of her career. For Charon, walking in the Fall Winter 2013 show was a standout moment in her modeling days.
