With every brand seemingly offering its own rendition of The Row mesh sock shoes, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have elevated the concept with their latest creation: the Mara flat. Despite the price point (nearly 1000 euros) and the fact that it's essentially just an elevated take on nostalgic jelly shoes, we have to admit it's the perfect summer footwear choice for adding a touch of fun and breathability to any ensemble. These flats flew off the shelves in all colors and sizes on therow.com upon release, but fear not—they'll soon be stocked at retailers for those seeking a second chance to snag a pair. Alternatively, if you're looking for a similar vibe at a lower price point, check this Loewe pair on sale or these on Vestiaire. Speaking of beach-ready essentials, we are all about swimsuits that double as an evening top. This Saint Laurent swimsuit made it to the top of our wish lists. Me(e)t Panconesi

Don’t worry, we’re done talking about the Met Gala. But we do want to highlight two young and underrated designers that made a big impact last week. First, Panconesi, who dressed FKA Twigs from head to toe (really) in his Diamanti, including covering her entire ears, brass knuckle-like handpieces, and toe rings that sprouted on her feet. Marco Panconesi first studied classical Latin and Greek studies with the idea of becoming an archaeologist but ended up graduating from the prestigious Polimoda with a degree in fashion design. He started his career at the accessories studios of Givenchy before moving to Balenciaga’s jewelry and leather goods department. In 2018, he established his eponymous jewelry studio in Paris. Just one year later, he was promoted to Fendi head designer of jewelry, and in 2021 he joined Swarovski. An average Panconesi is a sculpture in itself. His Blow Up ear cuff and earrings are preferably worn stacked on the ear from lobe to top. One of our favorite pieces is the Pierced Serpent hoops: a spiral with smaller hoops pierced through. He recently introduced his first bag: a very chic-cool shoulder saddle bag (on sale) with studs around the edges.

Another look that stood out most to us at the Met Gala wasn’t even worn on the famous museum steps. It was an afterparty look that Dutch model Jill Kortleve wore made by Miss Claire Sullivan: a voluminous tube top-skirt ensemble with a split going up to the top of her left leg, leaving one leg exposed. We were particularly drawn to the inflated look of the top that reminded us of Duran Lantink’s work. She paired it with white see-through gloves and looked jaw-dropping. Claire Sullivan was a member of the New York fashion collective Vaquera before she began working for artists and musicians, as well as creating pieces for herself to wear to events. Her work garnered attention from editors, stylists, and celebrities, leading to starting her own custom couture house under the name Miss Claire Sullivan. The goal for her designs is to create an experience - for both the wearer and anyone witnessing. She’s also the one who designed the tutu-in-the-front-maxi-in-the-back-skirt Troye Sivan wore on one of the current covers of HommeGirls. If you’re in the market for a wedding dress, Miss Claire Sullivan might be the perfect unexpected choice.
