THE ROW BUT MAKE IT YELLOWSTONE: A HORSE GIRL RENAISSANCE

Lara: Writing about this wasn’t originally on our December agenda. But when Charon sent me a picture of The Row’s new Lysandre jacket—a double-layered leather masterpiece that balances elegance with an edgy, Western vibe—it immediately sparked a conversation about all things horse girl chic. With a price tag that rivals a thoroughbred, this jacket feels like The Row’s take on Yellowstone.

The timing feels perfect. With Yellowstone’s newest season just out (if you haven’t watched the series or its even better prequel, 1883, yet, you’re in for a treat), the show’s mix of grit, grandeur, and denim-clad drama has reignited our Western obsession. We’ve rediscovered our shared love for cowboys, horse girls, and everything Western fashion. While Charon truly appreciates a great cowboy hat (and I’ve seen proof), I wouldn’t be mad about wearing denim for the rest of my life.

It’s the timelessness of the cowboy look that makes it so appealing—it’s a style that never truly goes out of fashion. However, it feels like it’s making a proper comeback, reaffirming its enduring appeal once again. Is it just us, or do we all dream of life on a sprawling ranch, where we could be wearing the same outfit formula—read: denim, leather and suede—every day?

A horse-girl awakening

If anyone is leading the horse girl aesthetic, it’s Bella Hadid. Her love for horse riding began on her family’s ranch in Santa Barbara and has only deepened since her relationship with professional cowboy Adan Banuelos. Together, they embody the ultimate cowboy-supermodel duo, blending her high-fashion edge—think big buckles, leather tops, and thigh-high boots (proving the look is just as chic in a New York loft as it is on a Montana ranch)—with his anti-fashion cowboy vibe that is so 'wrong' it feels right.
